We made it home from Birmingham on Friday. We had an outstanding week there. Tatum worked her butt off as usual, and learned a lot to get her even more independent. As mentioned we were suppose to be in Birmingham for 2 weeks. However, we make a decision to wait for a few months to go for our second week of intensive therapy. We just felt it would give Tatum more time to prepare to take that first step. Our therapist in Birmingham really helped us with this decision, and we are very grateful :).
Tatum has begun to get some movement in her left leg this week. She has had small movements in her foot, but this week she got movement in her knee, and was able to kick as you will see in the video. If you look at some of the older videos you will see her right knee started out the same way. You will also see in the video it has made HUGE gains!
I want to say thank you to Mamaw Bev again for helping us with Jensen while we were in Birmingham. We would be in serious trouble with out her. Also thank you to Papaw Rick, for sharing her with us!
As always thank you so much for all the comments. I can’t tell you how much it inspires Tatum. We are 4.5 months after the accident, and people are still praying daily for her recovery. We can’t say thank you enough!
We have more videos coming your way!
